Oria – Glenn Alexander

With nine original compositions by Glenn Alexander, this CD received wide critical acclaim from such prestigious publications as Jazziz and Jazz Times. Although the CD is primarily an acoustic endeavor, most reviewers agreed that one of the album’s highlights is a haunting version of Samuel Barber’s “Adagio For Strings,” which was recorded on solo electric guitar, using only a volume pedal and reverb and NO synths or overdubs. A deeply personal journey, the album was inspired by, dedicated to and named after Glenn’s daughter, Oria.
