Scott Healy-Glenn Alexander Quartet — Northern Light

Recorded in 1991 on a single afternoon, direct to two-track digital, with no edits and no overdubs, these recordings have been newly remastered by Michael Fossenkemper. Highly lauded by many leading jazz publications, the music on Northern Light has been called “ethereal” and “warm and sensitive.” In the liner notes, music writer Bill Milkowski sums up the CD’s vibe as “open-ended, highly interactive music.” Also featuring Kermit Driscoll, on acoustic and electric bass, and Jeff Hirshfield on drums, Northern Light has three compositions by Scott Healy and three by Glenn Alexander.
